Dr. Jenny Butler MD, Medical Director
Jenny attended medical school at the University of Iowa and currently serves as an emergency department physician at a local community hospital. Her road into medicine started back in a small Iowa farm town. Jenny witnessed her younger brother struggle to keep up with other children when he was born with only a single heart ventricle. He then had open heart surgery at the age of 10. Even though just a teenager at the time, Jenny knew medicine would be her calling.
Through out her time in the emergency department, Jenny has helped numerous patients with life threatening cardiac problems. She knows first hand that the use of AEDs can save lives. Being the medical director of Cardio Partner Resources brings her great pride. She hopes that through this effort more people will survive an out of hospital sudden cardiac arrest with the help of early intervention.
When not in the hospital she spends her time outdoors hiking, running, snow shoeing, and gardening. She and her husband Jeff, who is also an emergency department physician, love to travel and wake board.
